FTOSX is the natural next generation
UNIX/Linux
based Operating Systems (Why?). Based on
GNU/Linux, but following its UNIX inherence, FTOSX
offers a fresh, innovative and simple approach
because is designed specially for the masses.
FTOSX is a RPM-based Operating System and
therefore
similar to popular Linux distributions. Based on the Linux Kernel,
FTOSX offers more than 1,000 software packages redesigned in an
harmonically form in its Graphical Interface, FTGUIX.
Everyone will found in FTOSX a valid resource
and help
for business, home or schools.
FTOSX had been designed to complete the
continuos (but
not sufficient) efforts made by the GNU/Linux community to offers a
valid and stable Operating System, compilable and graphically
attractive.
FTOSX Desktop 2003, today includes 743 software
source
packages that generates 1,512
binary packages for Intel platform.

The most important enhancement is the Graphical interface FTGUIX.
Always based on KDE, but moved to a new level as well as extended to
the
entire Operating Systems, introducing the FTGUIX standard.
This means that we not includes the "normal"
software
as is, but we transform it to be FTGUIX complaint.
However, actually not all the software included
in
FTGUIX Complaint.
We here also call Application for its name:
"DVD
Player", "Calculator", "WordProcessor", etc to respect as an Operating
System must be ... following our experience.
